5 Prayer for Strength During Difficult Times

1. Prayer for Help

God the Father, I toss and turn at night and feel abandoned and battered. The pain in my heart is too great to put into words. Every day I experience pain. I ask for your assistance in prayer. I need to know that you are concerned for me, that you adore me, and that you will be my haven from suffering, replacing my anguish with calm, and my pillar of strength when I feel helpless and struggle to continue.

Help me to let go of my fears about the future and to confidently put my faith in you when I feel like giving up and when I am in despair. Help me to “Be still, and know that you are God” during those times when I’m unable to speak or don’t know what to say. Bring me serenity and be a comforter to me. In the name of Jesus. Amen

2. Prayer for Strength

Father in heaven, I am currently in need of Your strength. I’m going through a very difficult period right now, and I’m not sure whether I could continue on. Problem after problem is coming at me from every angle. I can no longer rely on my own strength to get through these difficulties. They are now too much for me to handle. I’m coming to You today because of this.

I have faith that You, Father God, are always in charge of my life. God, please calm my heart and keep it free from the spirit of worry and fear. I can only find consolation from you right now. Fill my surroundings with Your unfathomable peace. Raise me in Your right hand of victory. Along with me as I navigate the difficulties I’m facing. God, grant me Your strength so that even when things are difficult, I won’t give up. Help me, God, to concentrate on You rather than on my issues. I am aware that You, God, are greater than the sum of all those issues. I will never be let down if I put my trust in You.

I won’t get tired waiting for You, Lord. God, help me to have patience and to completely rely on You for strength so that I might soar on eagle-like wings.

And now, God, I entrust you with my heavy burdens: the difficulties, issues, and barriers I am currently facing in my life. God, take them and carry them. I am aware that I don’t have to carry the weight alone whenever You are at my side. I also give You, Father, the results of my challenges. The future is entirely under Your control. Help me to choose wisely as I deal with those giants. As I leave the outcomes in Your hands, give me peace of mind as well.

Father God, give me rest when each issue is resolved and every challenge is overcome. After these difficult days, please let me rest. Permit me to take pleasure in both Your presence and the presence of the people I am with during this trip we call life. I pray for all of these in Your Name, Amen.

3. Prayer for Peace and Comfort

My mind is not at ease and my heart is worried right now, dear Lord. It feels like a furious tempest inside of me that isn’t going away any time soon. My worries are becoming too much for me to bear. My head and heart are suffering greatly as a result of the problems I have to cope with. Even now and then, I have trouble falling asleep. The tranquility and joy I once had have been stolen by my concerns and “what ifs,” which continue to pound through my mind.

God, I need You now more than ever in this chaos. I’ll admit that I frequently find myself at a loss for what to do. I’m so close to quitting now. I’m finding it harder and harder to get out of bed. My motivation to keep working on the task at hand is waning. On occasion, I even think life is no longer worth living. Lord, I confess that these are not good thoughts that are currently obscuring my thinking.

Because of this, I’m pleading with God for His indescribable serenity to come over me. Despite all of my problems, I need the kind of tranquility that dominates my head. Lord, only You can provide that. Please embrace me and give me comfort. I am unable to handle this on my own, but I am confident in Your ability to make all things possible. God, please always remind me that no matter where I am or what I face, You are by my side.

God, please grant me that peace that passes all comprehension as a result of my prayer. Despite all of my problems, I need that mental calmness to dominate over me. Only You, Lord, can provide that. Comfort me by taking me into Your arms. I am unable to handle this on my own, but I am confident that with You, nothing is beyond reach. God, never fail to remind me that You are at my side no matter where I am or what I face.

God, please keep reminding me to not worry throughout it all. Help me, instead, to constantly rely on You for solace and tranquility and to have faith in You no matter what my circumstances in life may be. You are the supreme being, and You are aware of what is best for me. I believe You still have a wonderful plan for my life; please, Lord, enable me to carry it out in spite of any difficulties. I ask in Your Name, Amen.

4. Prayer for Strength in Hard Times

Dear God, I have not been treated well during the previous few days. It seems like there are problems everywhere. I’m incredibly concerned, nervous, and terrified. I believe that this is the most challenging situation I have ever encountered. It seems as though everything in my world is disintegrating. I have the feeling that at any moment, the weight of all my issues will overwhelm me. I am constantly thinking about the issues in my immediate environment. I am now so exhausted that I am unable to think clearly.

However, Lord, You instructed us in Your word to instead pray and bring our worries to God in gratitude rather than to worry about anything. Thank You, God, for giving me this opportunity to express my requests to You. I give those concerns, apprehensions, and worries to You, Lord. At Your feet, I place my troubles. Lord, I appreciate You taking away my burden. Thank You that You are able to carry me through my toughest days. Lord, let Your love surround me and take the place of my anxiety.

God, You also promised in Your word that as I come to You with my petitions, Your peace would surround me and keep my heart and mind in perfect tranquility. Lord, explain to me what it is to have that type of peace. Please give me that tranquility so that I can once more enjoy life to the fullest. May there be tranquility in my heart and thoughts. Lord, remind me that You are always there to help me through all of the difficulties I’m facing. You are always there to provide me with solace and protection.

Lord, be with me today as I face all the challenges that come my way. And surround me with that peace as You walk with me today. Let me work at my highest level today for Your honor. I pray for all of these in Your Name, Amen.

5. Prayer for Comfort and Healing

My Lord, I don’t feel well at the moment. My system has become unwell. I’ve been forced to stay in bed by my illness, and I’m currently feeling really depressed. My disease is having an impact on me not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. Lord, I really hate it when I’m powerless to do anything. I feel so helpless as a result.

But, as the apostle Paul put it, Lord, Your grace is sufficient for me, and Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Lord, demonstrate Your power to me via the weakness of my body. Show me what You’re capable of doing in Your own unique way. Allow me to believe in Your ability to restore my body to full health. Allow Your grace and calm to surround me rather than anxiety and dread. As I recuperate from my illness, please help me to find rest in You.

Lord, I also hope that this illness does not overwhelm me. Instead, let this be a chance for me to rely on You for healing. Let your hand be upon me, Lord, so that whatever has afflicted my body will vanish. Would you also bless the doctors who will help me recuperate, as well as the medication they will prescribe? Allow them to contribute to the goal of restoring my health.

Also, I understand, God, that Your healing may not occur as quickly as I would like. As my illness progresses, please remember me, Lord, that You are always with me. Be my solace in this hour of need. Lord, please restore my strength quickly so that I can continue to serve You to the best of my ability. All of this I pray in Your Name, Amen.
